Deep sweating has multiple proven health benefits. Benefits derived from a deep sweat can be achieved due to the heat. The core body temperature begins to rise. The blood vessels then dilate, causing increased blood flow. Whether at your local gym or in a Temazcal guided by healer.
Temazcal comes from the Nahuatl word temāzcalli (“house of heat”). It is also know as a “Sweat lodge” our ancestors used it as part of curative ceremony to purify the body after exertion. It was also used for healing the sick, improving health, and for women to give birth.
It continues to be used today in Indigenous cultures of north america for spiritual and health reasons. as a cleansing of mind, body and spirit.
Physically, nothing is more invigorating than a deep, healthy sweat. Tension disappears. Muscles relax. Mentally we are revived and ready for whatever comes.
A few minutes a day is all it takes to feel better. The body’s response to gentle, persistent heat is well-documented and proven day in and out by people all over the world. Which is why more and more doctors are recommending its purifying benefits.
Recent studies show that using the sauna 2–3 times per week was associates with 24% lower all-cause mortality and 4–7 times per week decreased all-cause mortality by 40%.
Rhonda Patrick PH.D. heat shock evangelist and scientist put together an excellent video on the benefits of sauna and worth a watch.
Happy healing and longevity !
An early evening stroll stroll for some coffee in downtown El Paso, Texas.
It took me about 5 mins of vigorous shaking to get just the right amount of oregano on my Menudo
I could see see the construction workers in the distance welding the what appears as a canopy support system. The Plaza sure has taken a longtime to complete.
As I continued to shake oregano minute two and a half and enjoy some Juan Gabriel music on the restaurants speakers. (NO idea what song it was Im no expert) I over hear a lady from the kitchen say. “Que musica es esa?”
I know sit here with a cold Coca Cola and this delicioso bowl of menudo perfectly spiced with only the luckiest of oregano flakes and hot red pepper flakes from a random shaking to the beats of Juan Gabriel to now Waterfalls by TLC.
